Cadomer Powder 10 gm is a topical wound care medicine containing Cadexomer Iodine (1000 mg) as the active ingredient. It’s used on the skin surface and not taken by mouth.

What it is

·         A topical antimicrobial powder that helps clean and heal chronic wounds by absorbing fluids, removing debris, and releasing iodine to kill bacteria, fungi and other microbes.

·         Often applied to ulcers or wounds where there is excess exudate (fluid) — not dry wounds.

Cadomer Powder is typically used for:

·         Chronic leg ulcers

·         Diabetic foot ulcers

·         Pressure ulcers (bedsores)

·         Infected traumatic and surgical wounds
It helps reduce bacterial count, absorb wound exudate, and maintain a moist environment that supports healing.

How to Use

·         Clean the wound first (often with saline or sterile water).

·         Sprinkle the powder over the wound as directed by your doctor.

·         Cover with a clean dressing.

·         Wash hands before and after applying.

Important Precautions

·         External use only — do not ingest.

·         Not recommended for dry wounds.

·         Avoid if you have known iodine allergy or sensitivity.

·         Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding only if advised by a doctor (iodine may cross placenta/be secreted into breast milk).

·         Not recommended for children under 12 years.

·         Tell your doctor about other medications or conditions, especially thyroid disorders.
